You want excellent beer, great food and some of the best blues this side of the Mississippi, this is it. All ++ with about 25 beers on top, many hoppy, not many belgians, finally fell to offering bud for the Hermosa pier crowd that cant deal with real beer. Great bands, not just those local music makers. Only downside is the concrete interior makes it a bit loud - so dont expect to converse too much, just dance instead. BTW, amazing tomatoes from the farmer's market in some dishes. Pork chop and garlic fries (not on menu, but ask for them) are king.

I agree that this place is tops. I'm 54 and have visited many bars but Boogaloo has it all - great beer, food and music and a friendly attentive staff that has seen little turnover in the years I've been going. If you haven't been here, do yourself a favor pay a visit....it gets very crowded on weekends but has a more manageable clientele on weekdays....

I love this place, have been going here for years. The food never disappoints, in fact their appetizers are soo good I sometimes go just for them! The drinks are great, staff are always friendly and the bands are great. Everyone gets up to dance. People mix really well and its lots of fun. Had a B-day party here and everyone loved it! Great food, drink and atmosphere, and blocks from the beach!! GO!

This is one of my favorite places. I can't believe anyone has ever had a bad experience there. I lived in NOLA, Boogaloos food rivals the best of New Orleans. I am from Chicago, Boogaloos music rivals the best of Chi-town and New Orleans. The staff is as much fun as a Mardi Gras Parade. While in Cali, I find myself at Boogaloo night after night.
